Panda Express is bringing back one of its most-requested menu items — and fans who've been clamoring for it on social media finally get their wish.
Hot Orange Chicken, the chain's fiery twist on its iconic Original Orange Chicken, returns for a third consecutive year starting July 11, just ahead of National Orange Chicken Day on July 15. The limited-time dish will be available at all 2,500-plus Panda Express locations nationwide while supplies last — and there's no extra charge.
The dish taps into the "swicy" trend — that sweet-and-spicy flavor combination that's taken the food world by storm. Hot Orange Chicken features six times more crushed chili than the original recipe, plus the same scorched dried chilies used in Panda's Kung Pao Chicken, all wrapped in the brand's signature orange sauce. It's earned its hype: Panda Express calls it the best-selling limited-time offer in the company's history, and it consistently ranks among the top-requested returns from fans on social media.
The Original Orange Chicken itself is no small thing — first created in 1987 in Hawaii, it now accounts for roughly one-third of all entrées sold at Panda Express. 148 million pounds of the dish were served in 2025 alone.
"Our guests have never let us forget how much this dish means to them," said Evelyn Wah, Vice President of Brand Innovation at Panda Express, "and this is us showing up for that."
If you like your comfort food with a serious kick, this is your window — just don't wait too long, because once it's gone, it's gone until the fans demand it back again. |

Burger King is putting a new spin on one of its oldest menu staples. Starting July 7, the fast-food chain is rolling out two limited-time additions to its Original Chicken Sandwich lineup at participating U.S. restaurants.
The Original Chicken Sandwich has been a fan favorite since its debut in 1979, known for its distinctive elongated shape, lightly breaded white meat chicken, shredded lettuce, and tangy mayonnaise on a toasted sesame seed bun. Now, Burger King is giving that classic a pair of bold new makeovers.
The Loaded Jalapeño Original Chicken Sandwich turns up the heat with creamy jalapeño sauce, both crispy and pickled jalapeños, crispy onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and American cheese — all stacked on the signature chicken patty and bun.
For those who prefer something a little more classic-but-elevated, the Club Original Chicken Sandwich layers crispy bacon, melted Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and creamy mayonnaise over the same iconic base.
According to Burger King's Chief Marketing Officer, the new flavors were inspired directly by guest feedback gathered through the brand's ongoing listening initiative — fans made clear they wanted fresh twists on a beloved original.
Both sandwiches are available for a limited time only, so chicken sandwich enthusiasts won't want to wait too long. The full lineup — including the classic original — is available nationwide starting July 7. Burger King operates more than 19,000 locations across 120-plus countries and U.S. territories. |

Featured Bite of the Week: Pueblo Viejo Restaurant |

This week’s Featured Bite takes us to Pueblo Viejo Restaurant, located in the heart of Lancaster Blvd. at 739 West Lancaster Blvd.
Pueblo Viejo brings together the bold, comforting flavors of Salvadoran and Mexican cuisine, giving diners a menu with plenty of variety and personality. The restaurant itself reflects that blend, with decor that highlights both cultures — one side leaning into Salvadoran themes and the other celebrating Mexican style. Add in the lively music and warm service, and the place feels welcoming from the moment you walk in.
The pupusas are one of the clear standouts here, especially the Revuelta and Queso options. Customers also speak highly of the Atol de Elote, a traditional sweet corn drink that pairs well with the Salvadoran side of the menu. For something heartier, the red sauce wet burrito with rice and beans is enormous, flavorful, and priced well for the portion size.
The menu also includes fried plantains with beans, farm-fresh eggs, menudo, seafood enchiladas with cheese wrapped in fresh corn tortillas, aguas frescas, horchata, tamarind drinks, mimosas, taco plates, and more.
Another highlight is the outdoor seating area, which gives guests a relaxed place to enjoy their meal along Lancaster Blvd.
