Palmdale food trucks are getting an unusually steady home base this October, with Lucky Luke Palmdale taproom scheduling a rotating lineup of mobile kitchens throughout the month.

For local diners, that means one address can deliver a very different dinner depending on the night.

The early October calendar starts Friday, October 2, with Hi Thai Street Food from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., followed Saturday by Smash Bros from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On Monday, October 5, Weary Bones Butter Burgers is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., then La Tropa Loca takes over Tuesday evening.

Infernal Tacos follows on Wednesday, and Providence Pizza is scheduled for Thursday.

That is five different food concepts in less than a week.

The rotation keeps going deeper into the month.

Weary Bones returns on multiple dates, La Tropa Loca is scheduled on Tuesdays, and Infernal Tacos appears repeatedly on Wednesdays and selected Thursdays.

Hi Thai Street Food returns later in October, while other dates bring Antojitos Azteca, Big Belly Pizza, Providence Pizza and Superbowl Sushi.

For diners who like variety without having to chase trucks around the valley, that consistency is the real advantage.

Food trucks can be tricky because locations change, schedules move and social posts are easy to miss.

A recurring taproom schedule gives people a destination first and a food choice second.

You can meet friends at the same place, then let the truck of the night decide what dinner looks like.

Lucky Luke Palmdale also layers other events onto the food calendar, which makes some evenings more than a quick meal stop.

Friday nights throughout the month include Bring Your Own Vinyl events on selected dates, and October 17 pairs Providence Pizza with a free line-dancing event later that evening.

October 10 is one of the busier dates, with Weary Bones Butter Burgers scheduled before the taproom’s Oktoberfest-style celebration that evening.

For people who are not interested in the beer side of the operation, the rotating trucks still make the location useful as a casual food destination.

The lineup covers enough styles that it does not feel like the same dinner repeated every night.

You can go from Thai street food to tacos, then burgers, pizza and sushi over the course of the month without leaving Palmdale.

That is particularly useful for groups where nobody can agree on a permanent restaurant, because the next visit can be an entirely different experience.

There is also a broader local-food benefit.

Food trucks depend on regular gathering spots where customers know they can find them, while brick-and-mortar venues benefit from giving people another reason to stop in.

When that partnership works, both businesses get additional traffic and diners get more choices.

October’s schedule shows how well that model can work in the Antelope Valley.

Instead of treating food trucks as occasional festival vendors, the rotation makes them part of a regular weeknight dining routine.

The practical move is to check the schedule before leaving home, because truck appearances can change due to weather, staffing or other operating issues.

But if the calendar holds, October gives Palmdale diners a surprisingly deep food-truck lineup with one easy place to find it.
